Yorkshire Wildlings. 2023 and beyond…

Yorkshire Wildlings was founded in 2023 by Tom Slack. Tom has over 30 years experience as a Scout and Scout leader, culminating in him serving for three years District Commissioner for the Heavy Woollen District in West Yorkshire. As a Scout and Scout leader, Tom has developed and expanded his love for and knowledge of the outdoors.

Tom spent the better part of 2021 and 2022 delivering forest school sessions to primary schools in West Yorkshire. After a final try at the corporate world, Tom decided it was time to get back outdoors.

“It hit me really hard, that I missed being outdoors and teaching! I enjoyed passing on my skills and passion for the outdoors, and created Yorkshire Wildlings to continue my passion - getting children outdoors, building their skills and confidence, all within the spirit of good fun and adventure.

Spending time outdoors is a crucial way for everyone to relax and unwind from our busy lives. it is vitally important that children develop a love and appreciation for the outdoors.
